Fran and his wife, Nancy, have lived in Wisconsin since 1979 after moving back to the Midwest from their native Pennsylvania. Fran had received his Masters of Divinity degree from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary in Evanston, IL after receiving an A.B. in Religion from Albright College in Reading, PA. He has served United Methodist churches in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. His appointment just prior to coming to Bashford UMC was as the District Superintendent of the Capital District where he oversaw 49 UM churches and 56 clergy. Fran loves being in ministry with the people of Bashford. He sees his role as one of a spiritual leader who enables each person to discover and then practice their own ministry as followers of Christ in the midst of the community of faith here at Bashford and in our community. Fran has been married to Nancy since 1974. She is the Camping and Retreat Ministries Coordinator on the staff of the Wisconsin Annual Conference of the UMC. They are the parents of two sons in their 20's. Fran enjoys travel. He and Nancy have traveled to 46 of the 50 states in the US and to fourteen different countries. His favorite sport is baseball.
