
Ed came to Wisconsin from Oklahoma in 1954 as a student pastor at First Methodist Church, West Allis. Ed received a Masters of Divinity degree from Garrett-Evangelical Seminary in Evanston, IL. He did post graduate work at Northwestern University, Stout State University, The Bowen Institute and the Family Therapy Institute in Milwaukee where he completed his certification as a Marriage and Family Therapist. Throughout his career he has served churches in Oklahoma and Wisconsin and worked as a Marriage and Family Therapist and consultant. Among his assignments was that of District Superintendent of the South West District. During his ministry he also worked with the Ecumenical Institute of Chicago on church renewal projects.
Ed's four children and their families are scattered throughout Wisconsin and Connecticut. Their careers move from education to medical services to mental health to corporate finance.
Ed has found ministry with the Bashford congregation to be stimulating and rewarding which he hopes is a mutual experience.
